On their farm in Washington County, they raised 6 birth and 7 Vietnamese refugee children, and have more than 30 grandchildren with whom they spend as much time as possible. The family has many business interests in Oregon, Utah, and Vermont, and believes that the challenges of family members working together are worth the effort and opportunity to engage with one another. The farmhouse, where all the children were raised, is now a gathering place for family, community, and guests, as it has been redone as a lodge in the midst of the beautiful Tualatin Valley.
